View Full Version : TOY JAM THANKS!
Frank:
WOW! Another great Toy Jam. I know this takes a ton of time and energy on your part, but the reaction from the kids (and the NB drivers) is priceless. From my perpective the entire day went perfectly. I think that it's a testament to the advance planning you do and to the lessons you've learned from past events.
BIG, BIG thanks to you.
Additionally, thanks to Timmons VW who has really come through over the years with their amazing support of Toy Jam. Also thanks to those who helped yesterday in selling tickets (Mike and Coleen, et al), to Mike Levy for his pictorial record of the day ...... and to everyone who attended.
What a great day!

Ditto!!! It was so great seeing everyone again along with doing something that was so rewarding.
How much did you have to pay for the perfect weather? Wow!
Thanks for all you do, not only with ToyJam, but for the endless time you dedicate to the SoCal NBC.
YOU ROCK!!!!!!!

I too wanted to thank you for the wonderful event. Always makes you see the world in a different light. It's nice to get together with acquaintances and friends to share with those in greater need and show support.
GREAT CAUSE, great people, great cars, great gas mileage, great food, great pics...
Liz, Trent, and Spongebob and 2hot4u (my next favorite NB).

Sorry I missed ToyJam this year. Kolika broke down in Thousand Oaks, she is at Neftin VW getting fixed. I lost power on the grade going uphill in Camarillo. I was soo scared. I was on the top of the grade when I lost power. This is all i need right now with everything else that goes on in my life. Well I hope there is a miracle out there so I can pick her up by Saturday. I got a rental, so I am driving a Ford Focus....oh I am not happy about it...lol
See you all soon, I miss you all!
Doris, who is bugless and very sad!

Another great year of making the young ones smile & therefore making us oldies but goodies smile as well. Fantastic job as always...it warms my heart every year to see all of the members of the SoCalNewBeetleClub come together & enjoy the day while making the lives of others a little more bearable for another day, kuddos to all who participated & especially to those who devoted so much of their time in preparation for the event. Great job one & all.
BTW, do you have a count of how many car/peeps we had this time around? I always like to add the numbers in my scrapbook pages...
once again, thanks for bringing us all together for such a great adventure.

CARS: 41.5 (the "half" extra is for that Beetle Limo... LOL
PEOPLE: we had 68 adults and 6 kids at the luncheon, but there were a few more at the event that did not partake in the luncheon.
I overheard a few people talking about working to get a minimum of 100 Beetles for next years event. That would be AWESOME!
