Next big NB model change year?

Does anyone know when the next big model change year will be for the New Beetle? The 2006 modification was to bumpers and fenders only (the plastic stuff). I'm thinking that the basic (central) steel body should be up for a change soon.

I've heard 2008 or (more probably) 2009. Any truth to that rumor?

Thanks, that's good information even though VW is vague about details. That is a very new article - only a few days old.

The picture is not recent, however, it looks like a line of 2003 'verts being finished up based on the wheel design. Hey, maybe one of those silver ones is mine! (?).

Yup,

I noticed the pic and figured it was just some stock factory footage that they had laying around. That's what happens when experts (us) have to deal with the work of amateurs (them)! I will report them to the continuity department at ONCE!
