This week at the LA Auto show VW introduced the Space Up! Blue which incorporates a roof mounted solar panel, lithium batteries and a high temp (?) fuel cell.
I guess this is the reincarnation of the old Type 2 microbus, but only more on the 'micro' side. Check out the 21/23 window bus treatment along the roof. How many windows are there in this model? I count ....... 14 or 15 depending on whether you count the rear hactch as one or two.
Anyway, here's the link. I'll need to read it several more times to fully understand what the hell all this all means! Might be the closest thing to a production fuel cell vehicle (?).
