Hi ~ I just bought my Beetle about a week ago. It's a 2002 and in really great shape. My only concern is that my foot slips off the clutch unless I am wearing rubber-soled shoes. It's aggravating in the extreme, and I worry that it's a hazard. I need to wear nice "lady" shoes to work, I can't always wear my sneakers! And the soles of my nice shoes are slipping. I was wondering if I can purchase a new rubber pad for my clutch pedal and install it myself? Hopefully that would take care of my problem. What do you think?

Yes, you should be able to purchase a new pedal and slip it on. If you want to get a little more custom, you can order custom pedals with black grip inserts. I have these on all of my cars and I love them!
