Current VW owner discount available

Current VW owners can get a discount on a new VW New Beetle or Passat model through August 31, 2007.

Buy or lease a new Passat (sedan or wagon) and get a $1,000 off

Buy or lease a New Beetle (coupe or 'vert) and get $750 off.

Any takers? Fine print says discount can be for a family member and owners must have a 2001 or newer VW model (that's wierd!).

Maybe they think you will trade your old VW in, and are trying to increase their used inventory with 2001 and newer models.
