Hello everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself, some of you have already met me and my New Beetle (Satellite Malibu Blue Matellic) at the Angeles Crest Highway Cruise on May 2nd. It was an awesome welcome and a great day for a cruise, what a ride! I had the pleasure of meeting some of you so no need for an introduction, but for those of you I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting...
My name is Rachel, my husband Steven has a 1970 VW customized Bug. I have never own a Beetle before but I was struck in love when my eyes fell upon my Satellite Blue Beetle! I mean when I saw my Beetle, that was it! I wasn't even shopping for a car, but you know how it is when you fall in love, sometimes your not even looking for love but all of a sudden love comes walking in um maybe driving in or parked in the dealer lot is more accurate. Well that's what happen to me last July, and I haven't come down from Beetle Heaven yet.
The 2004 Satellite Malibu Blue Matellic New Beetle is one of Volkswagen's limited edition Beetle's, 1,200 made, released only in the United States. Three shades of blue with Malibu blue on the exterior and the interior navy blue and a lighter shade of blue. The 17-inch alloy wheels has Malibu Blue-Body colored inserts, which has alot of people taking a second look. Actually Luke took a photo of my inserts and it's one of the photos that he has posted in the Angeles Crest Highway Cruise photos.
I love taking cruises on PCH especially to Laguna Beach. I love cruising Laguna, that's where you can find me every weekend and in the summer almost everyday. If I'm not cruising in my New Beetle I'm surfing.
I do intend to lower my Beetle, add clear tail lights, blue lights for the speakers and maybe someday an ocean wave on the exterior sides, still thinking about that one...So if anyone knows someone who does an excellent job on lowering I'm interested.
I'm looking forward to the next cruise or get together. Hopefully the photo I attached will come out but if not, I'll try another time.
Well, that's some 411 on moi, great meeting everyone.
Daring to be me,
Rachel
