I am looking for front & rear, blue & white emblems for my 2003 Turbo. They need to be the plain back ones, not the ones that attach with screws. If I can't find the blue & white ones, minimally, I need a stock rear one, to replace the one that's currently on there, and is damaged.
If you know where I can find these, or have part numbers I can reference, please let me know!
Thanks!!

Debbie:
I just purchased a new rear emblem (black/chrome swing open type) for about $65-plus bucks from Barber VW recently. They give a 10% discount for club members. I'm not sure what the non-opening ones go for... I would assume less. I have not replaced it yet, however, Earl has done this several times. He may have some tricks he learned in the process.
I replaced the front one some years ago and cannot recall what the price was at that time. If you replace the front one be very careful when you remove the old one. They are really stuck on tight. If you pry, watch the paint so you don't chip/gouge the area outside the emblem. Work carefully around the edges (I used fingernails and finger tips) until you feel it beginning to lift.
I suggest (which I did not do, but would now) placing some blue painters tape on the hood across the emblems center lines at right angles BEFORE you start removing anything. Cut the tape with a sharp knife at the edges of the emblem before removing the old one. The tape left in place on the hood will help you line up the new emblem. I found that once you remove the old one that finding the correct position for the new one is too much guess work.
I think if you put tape back on the new one through the center of the 'VW' before installing, you can line it up with the tape still on the car. That should help give you the correct position before you stick it down. I assumed I had one chance to get it right, since the adhesive is too powerful to re-position once it sticks.
I also removed the old adhevsive from the recessed hood area which took quite a bit of time. The new one sticks better if the surface is completely clean.

Slipping a strand of Dental Floss under the old emblem and sliding it down to break it free from the adhesive always works for me. Wear gloves or OUCH!

Thanks, Luke and Frank, for your insight on emblem replacement. I did buy a factory replacement one, as I could not find a blue and white. Mine is damaged by hard water stains, and is peeling.
Cat had clued me into the dental floss removal technique - I haven't yet tried it, but that's the way I plan to go.
I will check with Timmons on Saturday, to see if they possibly have some blue & white emblems.......

I doubt they will have the Blue and White ones. Those are the EURO versions.
