Hi everyone,

My name is Doris from Escondido (North County San Diego) and I drive Kolika, a white, 1999, NB, GLS, 5sp. I’ve been a member since 2002. I haven’t been active this pass year because I have been focusing on my home life. I can’t always afford to get out and have fun.

I work two jobs, Medical Records Clerk in the AM and Photo Lab Tech in the PM…and for fun I do Purse parties. I have two crazy kids, Sharla who is now 16yrs old and Zeke, 11 yrs old. I usually take the whole family with me but this year I am riding solo. I am going thru a separation from my husband so things have been ruff…and I am still smiling. Please, NO sad emails saying sorry! I am really ok and doing great! I’ve been focusing on me. I have lost 46lbs and feel great! This is a whole new world for me and I love it.

I do hope to go to a GTG soon with you all. I miss the carabugs and all the fun place we go.

Someone once told me...You can not control everything that happens. You can only control your own actions. Be responsible for your actions and what you create... "Yes create"… As a being from god, the human has the ability to "create"... now it's up to the individual to create, you can create positive, or you can create negative it's your choice.

I concur with the others. You present a really nice, positive attitude. Good for you. Adversity creates growth ... and opportunities. It is always great to see our New Beetle buddies doing well. And, yes, you look fabulous!

Having two jobs builds character (and earns $$$), but we'd still all like to occasionally see you driving your NB in line with the rest of us; either so we can see your smiling face in the rear view mirror ... OR admiring Kolika's nice round rear end as we follow along.
