I had to resize my pic to almost nothing before it would take it :? ...I used irfanview for that :shock: , then I had to use imageshack for the codes to upload it :shock: ...does that help...if not, then lemme know & I will see if I can better explain what I did... :roll:

irfanview is the program I use to downsize my pictures...this is the info it shows as the address for them...irfanview at gmx dot net

then imageshack is the program I use to get codes so that I can post them in the different forums I go to...such as this one, myspace, etc.
You can also use this site to resize etc...check it out, I think you will like it, it is easy to use...thankfully a friend turned me onto this site & it was easy for me to use. imageshack dot com is how I found it, I think, its been so long ago...

I use photobucket, and it seems to be very easy. You can host, store AND resize your pics there. They have a free membership, but I went ahead and signed up for the pro version where you pay a little. It seems to be a lot faster and no advertising. Either way, you should have no problems there.

If you are running windows you can just open up the picture you want to use in windows paint. In the title bar select image/attributes and it will pull up the picture dimensions. Just enter the pixel size you want. The proper image size for avatars for this site is 100x100 pixels. The image will resize and then just go to File in the toolbar and select save as... I usually save pics I'm editing to the desktop for easier reference when I'm posting :-) It's easy and you don't have to buy anything. I've also been using Google's Picasa2 which is a free download. It is one of the most user friendly (and free) programs I've seen yet. Great for special effects, etc., and allows you to set up photo albums.
